NOTE:  The pictures are from the first game only as I had to leave before game 2 started.

Coming off a shutout win over Stewartville the night before, the Byron Bears came into their doubleheader with the Lake City Tigers with the momentum of a three game winning streak and left with the momentum of a five game winning streak.  Byron swept the hosting Tigers by scores of 4-0 and 9-2 to up their record to 5-1 on the season.

In the first game, Ryan Thompson threw the shutout for the Bears allowing just five hits while striking out seven.  Isaac Jestus and Tommy Jensen had two hits each in the game.  Both of Jensen’s hits were doubles.

The Bears will next play on Monday at Martin County West in a 5:30 PM game.  Lake City, now 4-5, will host Lourdes on Monday.  That game will begin at 5PM.
